Society of Women Engineers Leading and Learning
Mentorship Program

About SWELL
Society of Women Engineers Leading and Learning (SWELL) is a mentoring program started in the fall of 2005, and is open to all students in the School of Engineering. This program pairs an  upperclassmen engineering student (Leader) with a first-year (Learner). The Leaders and Learners correspond with each other and meet on their own and at SWE events. Learners are free to ask questions about anything—academics, social life, activities, buses, etc. This year there are additional events planned to give the Leaders and   Learners even more chances to bond and have fun. SWE hopes to see you in the fall!

Registration has now closed for SWELL! If you have any questions email Anne Kennedy. We look forward to seeing everyone at the SWELL Kickoff Meeting! Below are the upcoming SWELL Meetings:

Wednesday September 16th 7PM Kickoff

Wednesday October 7th 7PM Team Building

Wednesday October 21st 7PM Scavenger Hunt

Wednesday November 11th 7PM Applebee's Night (optional)

Wednesday December 2 7PM Graduation and Banquet

Comments From Past Learners

[My Leader] offered reassuring words and guidance from her past experiences.

The pairing was perfect, and the mentors were really energetic, approachable, and truly cared.

It helped to know someone who had gone through their first year already and could advise you.
